Neighbour Day – June 18
June 18, 2016 will be the third annual Neighbour Day. The City wants to encourage Calgarians to meet their neighbours, make some new friends and make a positive contribution to their communities.
Permit fees will be waived for block party and green space permits for Neighbour Day. The City has offered a few ideas of how Calgarians may choose to celebrate neighbour day:
- host a block party
- have a neighbourhood picnic at a local park
- host a neighbourhood potluck or BBQ
- host afternoon tea in your yard
- hold a street chalk drawing competition
- help your neighbours with spring cleaning or gardening
