Have Your Say on Green line SE Transitway
Calgary Transit has a very simple vision for the Green Line:
A transit service that improves mobility in existing and new communites in north and southeast Calgary, connecting people and places, and enhancing the quality of life in the city.
The Green Line is going to be a critical component of Calgary’s transit network. In the last 3 years Calgary Transit has made tremendous progress to move the Southeast Transitway forward. You can find more information on the history of the SETWAY here.
The City has held a number of public sessions to reintroduce the Green line project in 2015. Some of the conversations to date have revolved around the further development of the line, station logistics and development opportunities. Calgary Transit has also developed a new video that paints a great picture of what the SETWAY could look like:
Calgary Transit wants to hear from you. What do you value in your community and what do you think about proposed alternate routes? Take the survey by clicking the image below.
I am very excited to see this project moving forward. Some of the early works projects will begin in June, and Transit will be presenting the Green Line SETWAY plans to Council in October. This is a very exciting project, and it’s time has certainly come!
